Central Bath from M4 / A46

             Avoiding Bath City Centre and one-way system - This saves at least half an hour.

              Leave M4 at Junction 18 and take the A46 to BATH, through the village of PENNSYLVANIA.

• At next ROUNDABOUT turn RIGHT on A420 towards BRISTOL
• After 1/3 mile follow sign to filter LEFT to "LANSDOWN Parkand Ride".
• Along this country lane - road dips down then rises to T junction - bear LEFT and UP hill along a flat plain, past the Racecourse & Golf course then road bends left. There is a large pub called the Blathwayt Arms on the right.
• Carry on down the hill for about a mile and then turn right at the T junction into a continuation of Lansdown  road.
• Carry on down for about half a mile and you will reach the top of the city, George street which actually the A4.
• Right will take you into the city centre.
• Left will take you to the Ring road  (A 36), for Frome, Wells, ect.
